On January 9, 2017, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Vietnam O. Shovloplias visited Dong Nai Province of Vietnam and had meetings with the leadership of the Province: Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee of Dong Nai Province; Mr.Tran Van Vinh - the Standing Member of Provincial Communist Party Committee, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Dong Nai Province.

During the meetings the discussion was focused on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction between the regions and enterprises of Ukraine  and Dong Nai Province.  The major areas of discussion were the development of  trade and economic cooperation between the two sides, the interest of Ukrainian companies in establishing partnership relations with Dong Nai Province partners, enterprises and manufacturers and the opportunities for expanded market access for Ukrainian goods to the Province. The areas of mutual interest include cooperation in the construction of industrial and transport facilities infrastructure, the supply of agricultural products, export/import of equipment,  etc.  In the framework of the meetings the parties stressed the need to research and initiate new spheres of bilateral cooperation in the year 2017.
