This year, in recognition of women's contribution to the protection of Ukraine, the holiday was renamed, from now on - it is the day of men and women who defend Ukraine.

Woman have always been at the front, in all wars, in almost all positions. Ukrainian women are always ready to fight and win. History has preserved many evidences of their heroism and dedication.

In the fields of The First and The Second World War, in the struggle of the Ukrainian insurgent Army during the years of the Russian and German occupation, during the years of The restored independence, in this war with the Russian Federation – the Ukrainian women stand shoulder to shoulder with men and fight to preserve our land.
