Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha has announced a new joint fundraising initiative: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is joining a UNITED24 campaign aimed at raising US$1.2 million to purchase ten fully equipped ambulances.

According to Andrii Sybiha, over the past year, the charitable initiative raised more than US$790,000, or nearly UAH 35 million, to purchase ground robotic systems for Ukrainian defenders. The focus is now shifting to strengthening emergency medical care capabilities.

“Every day, Russia terrorizes civilians across Ukraine, killing and injuring people in drone and missile attacks. After every attack, every second is crucial. Modern ambulances are not simply means of transport. They are mobile intensive care units that enable medics to provide life-saving care before the patient even reaches the hospital,” Andrii Sybiha stressed.

The ambulances to be purchased through the campaign will be equipped with oxygen delivery systems, ventilators, defibrillator-monitors, capnographs, electrocardiographs with remote ECG transmission capabilities, and vital signs monitors.

The equipment package will also include stretchers, infusion therapy equipment, GPS navigation systems, dash cameras, climate control systems, and parking sensors. This equipment will enable medics to provide emergency care more safely and effectively while patients are being transported.

In 2025, Ukrainian emergency medical teams responded to more than 4.5 million calls. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 495 ambulances have been destroyed or damaged, including 46 in 2026.

“Every new ambulance will help save thousands of lives,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized, urging people to join the fundraising campaign.
