Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and to the Kingdom of Cambodia Oleksiy Shovkoplias attended the 37th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee

16-27 of June 2013 in Cambodia, Phnom Penh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and to the Kingdom of Cambodia Oleksiy Shovkoplias, as a member of Ukrainian delegation, attended the 37th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
According to the agenda of the session, the Committee examined the state of conservation of cultural and natural sites, inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
The Committee adopted decisions on three Ukrainian World Heritage sites, namely: “Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Ancient Beech Forests of Germany”, “Lviv – the Ensemble of the Historic Centre” and “Kiev: St. Sophia Cathedral and Related Monastic Buildings, Kiev-Pechersk Lavra”.
