On 7-8 March 2012 H.E. Kostyantyn Gryschenko Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine paid an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Head of the foreign policy institution of Ukraine had the meetings and negotiations with H.E. Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of Vietnam, H.E. Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of SRV, powerful Vietnamese businessmen.
During the meetings the issues of deepening cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of policy, trade and economy, investment, military-technical, culture and humanitarian field were discussed. This discussion was conducted, first of all, in the context of implementation the agreements reached by the two countries in the frame of the state visit of H.E. Victor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (25-27 March 2011) and during the official visit to Ukraine of H.E. Nguyen Tan Gung, Prime-Minister of Vietnam (4-6 October 2011).
According to the results of the negotiations Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries issued a Communiqué including joint actions plan, aimed on further deepening cooperation and establishing bilateral relationship of strategic character between Ukraine and Vietnam in the future.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine gave an interview to popular Vietnamese TV channel VTV- 4, where he outlined his vision of modern relations between Ukraine and Vietnam and prospects of their development.
The visit of Ukrainian minister was widely reported by the Vietnamese media.
