The collection of Ukrainian writers’ works was transferred to the national library of Vietnam

On September 5, 2019 the Ambassador of Ukraine Oleksiy Shovkoplias, one day before completion of his mission to Vietnam, met with the Director of Department of Child Affairs of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dang Hoa Nam and presented 112 copies of the book "Tropical violin", which included the translations of famous Ukrainian writers into Vietnamese language.
Director, expressing gratitude for the gift, said that he immediately handed over the Ukrainian book to representatives of the National library of Vietnam that were present at the meeting. The book will be included to the registers of the National library and copies will be transferred to the reading rooms of Hanoi and the Vietnamese provinces.
Dang Hoa Nam noted that Ukraine and Vietnam have been parties to the UN Convention on the rights of the child for about 30 years and should use all opportunities for cooperation in the framework of initiatives implementation for the purpose of developing children's opportunities.
The author of the 600-pages collection "Tropical violin" is Wu Tuan Hoang - writer, translator, lecturer of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
