Today, Ukraine marks Statehood Day — a day that honors the thousand-year-long legacy of Ukrainian statehood, from the era of Kyivan Rus to modern, independent Ukraine.
This is not just a date in history — it is a living truth:
That Ukraine has always existed, and Ukraine will always stand.
Despite centuries of attempts to erase our identity, suppress our language, and occupy our land, the Ukrainian nation has preserved its dignity, culture, and freedom.
Today, in the face of full-scale war, Ukrainians defend not only their state, but the very idea of liberty and sovereignty.
On this day, we honor the generations who came before us and all those who defend Ukraine today — on the front lines, in government, and in every corner of society.
Happy Statehood Day, Ukraine! Strong in history. Unbreakable in spirit.
