On September 15, 2020, Nataliya Zhynkina, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Vietnam and Nguyen Khan Ngoc, Deputy Director of the European and American Markets Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, discussed topical issues of Ukrainian-Vietnamese economic and trade relations.

 The interlocutors exchanged views on the organization of a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Vietnamese Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in Vietnam, in particular on the possibility of holding a videoconference meeting in the near future.

 The parties paid special attention to the development of cooperation in the trade sphere. The prospects of concluding an agreement on preferential trade between Ukraine and Vietnam were discussed.

 During the meeting, N. Zhynkina and Nguyen Khan Ngoc discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of high technology, the organization of an exhibition of scientific developments of Ukrainian scientists in Hanoi, promoting access of Ukrainian agricultural products to the Vietnamese market, using the potential of cooperation in energy and mining.

 Nataliya Zhynkina expressed gratitude for the assistance and assistance provided by the Vietnamese authorities, public organizations and entrepreneurs to Ukrainians during the pandemic.
