On March 7, 2025 the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine held an online meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Cambodia to discuss expanding agricultural trade and cooperation.
Ukraine and Cambodia have significant potential to enhance bilateral agricultural trade. Ukraine can supply grain, fertilizers, animal feed, and poultry, while Cambodia’s rice, cashew nuts, and tropical fruits are of great interest to Ukrainian importers. Both sides emphasized the importance of removing trade barriers, particularly in veterinary certification, to facilitate smoother exports.
The ministers also discussed joint educational initiatives in agriculture. The Ukrainian side invited Cambodian students to pursue studies in Ukrainian agricultural institutions, strengthening professional ties and fostering the next generation of agricultural specialists.
This meeting marks an important step toward deepening Ukraine-Cambodia agricultural cooperation and unlocking new trade and educational opportunities.
